Hi, I’m Chris McPhee.

I'm a designer — of products, teams, brands, and the odd experience that's hard to categorize. I'm interested in how design shapes the way people think, not just what they click.

I write A Broad Margin, a publication about observations from the white space. I co-founded Cicada Sound, a boutique synthesizer shop in Ottawa. I co-founded Craigmont Standard Goods, a small grooming brand from product to packaging.

I've spent 15+ years leading design teams — helping people make sense of complexity and creating space for them to do work they're proud of.

I live in Ottawa, Canada with my family.
